Native American Suicide Prevention Task Force

Vision:  A partnership between Tribal behavioral health programs, Tribal communities,  the Indian Health Service (IHS), University of New Mexico-Center for Rural & Community Behavioral Health (UNM-CRCBH), the Statewide Entity, other agencies and coalitions to provide technical assistance, develop resources, and compile or develop culturally appropriate suicide prevention resources for Tribal communities.

Mission: Collaboratively work with partners to collect, adapt, and develop culturally appropriate suicide prevention resources to include:

  •            Provider Resource List
  •            Screening and Early Identification tools
  •            Standardized Referral Process
  •            Post-Vention Flow Charts
