Synthetic Virology Laboratory

Suhlab, reinvented. Welcome to the Synthetic Virology Laboratory at Rice University. With our newly refined identity, we are embracing our passion and dedication to reprogramming viruses for useful purposes.

We are a group of designers, engineers, and biomolecular tinkerers. We are re-imagining what viruses can do to solve some of the world’s most pressing biomedical and technological challenges.

In December 2017, we held the first AAV Gene Therapy Symposium at the Texas Medical Center. It was such a success we will be organizing it again this year. Stay tuned!

Go viral with us.
