Echeveria prolifica

_________________________

Echeveria prolifica is a common favorite and for good reason.  The large rosettes and huge bracts of flowers make for a very attractive, low-maintenance specimen.

While many Echeverias are commonly called 'hen & chicks', I prefer to reserve this title for members of the genus, Sempervivum for simplicity's sake.

Echeveria pulvinata

Plush Plant, Chenille Plant

Origin:  Mexico

Light:  Part Shade

Water:  Regular

____________________________________________________

Echeveria pulvinata is the plant people like to touch.  The leaves are covered with numerous filaments or 'hairs' giving a fuzzy feel to the touch. Plants grow rather slowly and enjoy part shade.

Flowers are borne on tall stems which can come at different times of the year but mostly in Spring/Summer.

Plant Profile: Echeveria

Plants in the genus, Echeveria are rosette forming succulents.  Echeverias are similar to Sempervivums causing them to be referred to as 'Hen & Chicks'.  Echeverias can come in a variety of colors from almost black to frosty white.

Echeveria Care

Plants are easy to care for and enjoy partial protection from the sun and regular watering. Plants usually offset in time and the orange flowers are borne on long stalks high above the plant.
