Echinocereus reichenbachii ssp. baileyi is a wonderful columnar cactus native to North America (Texas and surrounding states).  Plants cluster at the base and sport large pink flowers in Spring or early Summer.  Flowers bloom from the top of the plant followed by rapid vegetative growth.

Start new plants from seed or separate offsets to get a jump start on the process.
