Dr. Ghoshal has authored over 300+ technical publications with 5 patents. He has 30+ years of research experience and interests in advanced concepts of propulsion materials, material state awareness and damage precursors, structural health management of integrated aerospace vehicles and structures, intelligent structures and sensor systems, spacecraft dynamics, advanced signal processing, distributed sensor array architecture, nano/micro/biomimetic/bio-inspired systems, diagnostics and prognostics. He is an Associate Editor of Structural Health Monitoring Journal, Shock and Vibration Journal and of International Journal for Mechanics and Control. He currently serves on the AIAA Adaptive Structures TC, NASA Aeronautics Sensors Working Group. He had served on AIAA Standards Committee for Space Systems-Structures for Air Force Space Missile Command, and USAF sponsored Integrated System Health Management Team for Air Force Vision 2020. Dr. Ghoshal has been awarded National Research Council/NASA Langley Research Associateship, Humboldt Fellowships, Pratt & Whitney Leadership and Eagle Awards and AHS Forum Paper Awards. He was inducted in University of Connecticut Academy of Distinguished Engineers (2014) and is an AIAA Associate Fellow.
