Welcome

Welcome

Hey and thanks for visiting.  My core site is sub3marathoner.com, but I like the possibilities here so I'm moving, updating and adding sub3 material on this site.  Check back frequently...and join the facebook runsub3 group as well.

Helpful Website Hints

  • Sortability Sorry about all the zeros in front of some of the numbers.  It's the only way to make the sorting work.

  • Sorting Scroll to the bottom of any list and you'll see a link to the data sheet.  Click that link and you'll be able to sort any column.

2009 Events Calendar

Sub3 Thought of the Day

  • Start up front, but don't pass people for 2 miles Start near the from of the race, but don't pass people iin the first two miles.
    Posted Jan 2, 2009, 2:29 PM by Joe B
  • Start Slow You can go out on race day at 6:30s and survive sub3, but I recommend nothing under 7:00.
    Posted Jan 2, 2009, 2:22 PM by Joe B
  • 6:40 muscle memory 6:40 per mile is faster than sub3 pace, but remember you're running faster than sub3 pace in the last 10 miles...6:40 fast.

  • Lightweight Training Shoes Not gonna give you a specific shoe, but slogging around in 12oz clunkers won't help you in the turnover department.
    Posted Jan 2, 2009, 9:54 AM by Joe B
  • 6 Minute Miles You have to have 6 minute mile speed inorder to run a sub 3 hour marathon.
