Our main goal at St. Vincent de Paul is to help overcome food instability in Waterbury!

Since 1981, our soup kitchen has been serving individuals and families, who are experiencing poverty, hunger, and homelessness. A breakfast is served along with a nutritionally balanced hot noon-time meal seven days a week. For those who have a St. Vincent de Paul card, the food pantry distributes groceries once a week for no charge. The soup kitchen supplies the majority of the dinners served to guests of the shelter.

• Over 120,000 meals are distributed by our soup kitchen per year, 350 meals per day
• Adults aged 18-59 make up 62% of our visitors at our soup kitchen
• 22% of visitors are minors and 17% are seniors
