Tara Larry

Hello, my name is Tara Larry and I am currently a senior at UAF. I was born and raised right here in good old Fairbanks, I attended and graduated from West Valley High School in May of 2008. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration and after my degree completion I will be headed off to cosmetology school.

This is my third year involved with ASB. I chose to join this organization because both my older sisters are ASB alumni; I enjoy being part of groups that help improve students lives and help build success for their futures. This year I am the Virtual Mentorship Program Officer; this program allows students to get an insight to different companies and career fields by being joined with a mentor.  In addition to VMP I am also the chair for Spring Semester Ice Breaker. Our goal for this year’s Ice Breaker is to make it bigger and better then past years (check out the Spring Semester Ice Breaker for more info).

In addition to attending school full time I also work part time for my parents. My parents are successful business owners, in which I have had great fortune of being raised and able to work in a professional business environment. In my very little amount of free time, I ride and show horses, I have four quarter horses and I have been showing for over ten years. Other exciting things I enjoy: playing hockey, snow machining, 4-wheeling, jet skiing, traveling, spending summers at my cabin and most importantly spending time with my family.
