Pickleball is a racquet sport combining elements of tennis, ping pong and badminton. It is played
indoors and outdoors on a doubles badminton court using a large paddle and whiffle ball. Founded in
1965 the sport has grown exponentially in North America during the last decade. Pickleball is a culture on to itself
because of the following ingredients: it
is a) easy to learn b) fun c) good exercise d) very social
e) inexpensive to play and f) extremely addictive. It is a game for all ages.
"One of the best things about the sport of pickleball is that it is the only sport which I have ever
participated in, win or lose, whoever I have played with and competed against, at the
end of the day, I always have a smile on my face!"
- Coach Wayne Clark, The Pickleball Academy of Southwest Florida

Membership:
You must be a resident of St. Thomas or Elgin County in order to join the STPC.
Our club membership year runs from July 1 to June 30.  Due to facility
limitations, our current membership is capped at 50 players. We do take extra
members for summer play as we have more courts available at Pinafore Park.
If the cap is raised or current members retire the club will also add new members.
The Regular Playing Membership (RPM) fee is $60 per year.
Email us if you are interested in joining.
A second option is to take out a Non-Playing Affiliate Membership (NAM). Anyone who wants to
support the club's efforts in promoting the sport may take out a NAM.
Contact us for details.
The NAM fee is $10 per year.
Club members play at Pinafore Park in the summer and
Mon. & Fri. evenings
at St. Joe's High School during the fall, winter and spring.
