Humorous, thought-provoking poems by David Weller

I'm
at
a
loss
for
words..

I
can
say
what
I
like

or
what
I
don't
like

or
I
can
just
rhyme...

fjords
by
bike
is
a
good
time...

spot on,
dots were lots
but polka-dots
commanded
attention!

The fly on the art --
a mobile -- drew attendance /
a nervous artist!

Olde School has it, that
Robin Hood wore twinkle toes
stealing, that he shoulde

Drew went askew, to
cow the pall mall towel, to
bring zing to his ring.

of all elements,
time is most detected, least
of all dissected

slovenly i long
for doing the task at hand
heck, it's Saturday

making nose noises
at school gets you in trouble
lest teacher likes it!

noesbleeds ar fr reeal, tho unwantd ??

A perplexity

"Wait, is that a conundrum?"

blue jay, play for me
don't be mean or eat for free
sing, sing in a tree!

grackle grackles all,
spread your wings in feed free-fall,
one must make the call

his singing volume
rose to high pitch, synchronous
to the background noise

flipped up grass whipped up,
into violent frenzy,
flitting lawn man's face

What?

what the following?
true to the word, except as is
never is but true

within backyard's park,
a lantern's flickers spark,
making giggles bark

1.
billowing bubble
of future big blasts to me
I break, but to see...

2.
for shame! it is but
a rocky asteroid that
from space has found me...

3.
i wonder what the...
heck, it's hot and round what the...
it possibly be...

4.
why, its a, a, a
white canvassed, a threaded, an
old baseball set free!
