The pilot project STRONG (Supportive tools for resilient, open-minded and non-violent grassroot work in schools) is a project funded by the European Commission and undertakes to develop, implement and evaluate resource-oriented strategies for violence prevention in cooperation with schools in 5 European countries.
Here you can easily access to the background of the project as well as to all the tools created by the international research team.

Do you want to promote violence-prevention in your school and are you interested in joining a pilot project?

Do you want to profit from further education for the whole school staff and thus become a team capable of acting jointly?
Are you interested in implementing methods for the promotion of social-emotional competences in the classroom?
Are you interested in the efficacy of project-specific interventions and would you like to contribute to the evaluation of the programme?

Project aims:
Non-violence in schools
Atmosphere of wellbeing
Resilience tools

Target Groups:
Students

Teachers

Parents

Educational community

School as a whole

The practical guidelines for the implementation of training courses will address pupils after “gap” (transition from primary to secondary school).

This target group was chosen due to the specific developmental tasks that arise from the change from primary to secondary school.

Evaluation:

The programme will be evaluated by means of process and outcome evaluation, applying both qualitative and quantitative methods. Thereby, the school’s project-specific changes will be monitored continuously.
