Job Title: Lead Research Chemist

Industry: Chemical Manufacturing

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have experience building mechanistic understanding of physical/chemical interactions in industrial problems and applying this understanding to the development of performance based specialty chemical products. The candidate will have demonstrated strong technical capabilities in chemical sciences, surface science, tribology, or material science. The successful candidate will lead efforts to build an understanding of chemical/physical interaction that deliver performance in petroleum additive applications, develop expertise in core product chemistries and provide technical support to product development and commercialization teams.

Additional Info:

PhD Organic Chemistry (or related) plus 8 or more years of research and/or development experience in  the chemical manufacturing industry.  Experience in the performance chemical industry is preferred.  Product commercialization in the field of combustion, automotive powertrain, or lubrication would be a plus.

Job Title: Chemist (Heavy Duty Diesel Formulator) Southeastern US

Requirements:

·         Good technical and fundamental chemistry understanding – Degree/PhD or equivalent in Chemistry or Engineering and an ability to pull technical solutions from beyond their field of expertise.

·         Expert knowledge of lubricant additive chemistry and engine oil formulating

Additional Information:

Job Title: Engingeering Manager (Chicagoland Area)

Requirements:

     
The position demands previous experience leading and supervising an Engineering Department for a mold   

design/mold making facility.  The candidate must demonstrate proven project management capabilities.  

Previous experience in injection mold industry is highly preferred, but tooling and die casting related 

experience will also be considered.  The candidate must demonstrate experience working within team and 

cross functional team projects.  The candidate must hold at least a bachelor's degree in engineering and be

proficient with MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook) as well as demonstrate proven writing capabilities as 

evidenced by project plan documents and proposals.

CAD (SolidWorks or AutoCAD) experience is beneficial but not required.
 

Responsibilities:

 

The Engineering Manager oversees the Engineering Department through effective management of key

Job Title: Principle Scientist (Nataural Extracts) Chicago Suburbs

Requirements:

 The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines and 10-20 years of industrial experience, or an MS degree with 15+ years of industrial experience. 

 A broad background in ingredient design for foods is required. Deep experience in natural product extracts is required.  Experience in any of the areas of ingredient design from the following list is also a desirable: enzyme modification of food ingredients, physical processing of food ingredients (spray drying, drum drying agglomeration, blending etc), fermentation, separations technology as applied to product design, or formulation of complex food ingredient systems.

 This ingredient developer will serve as a Principal Scientist and key project leader in the roduct Development Group. The team is currently composed of a diverse group of experienced scientists with skills in materials science, chemistry, engineering, food science & sensory analysis.

  

Responsibilities:

This Principal Scientist will be engaged in planning and executing laboratory work to design ingredients, supervision of technicians, and planning project resources. The Principal Scientist will also be expected to engage with internal and external resources to advance technical product development through scale-up activities and to provide technical expertise to support existing business in relevant areas.

The Principal Scientist will have two primary areas of responsibility:

i) Project Leadership

The Principle Scientist will lead product development projects, driving establishment & coordination of cross-functional, multi-disciplinary project teams with engineering, analytical, food applications, sensory, product design and other technical personnel. The Principal Scientist will also engage with regulatory, legal, commercial and other non-technical personnel to ensure projects proceed in accordance with internal processes & metrics, and will be responsible for delivery of the project through the commercial launch. Responsibilities:

The Principal Nutrition Scientist will report to the Director, Global Nutrition.  In this position, he/she will provide leadership nutrition science and regulatory and will collaborate on teams that will include but not limited to, nutrition science, regulatory, quality, product development, marketing and food science. 

 

The Principal Nutrition Scientist will;

·         Collaborate with colleagues across the business to identify and develop business opportunities that are strategically aligned with the health and wellness initiatives.

·         Strategically help build and lead a strategic nutrition science research program that meets the business and technology needs. This position is responsible for developing, overseeing, and translating nutrition studies in areas that could include glucose metabolism, cognition, healthy ageing, weight management and cardiovascular disease.

·         Support current and new initiatives that will include science and regulatory guidance on the development of novel ingredients, claims, GRAS, health claims submissions, nutritional statements and technical collaterals.

·         Develop and deliver product-specific messaging for targeted customer audiences and nutrition focused organizations.

·         Develop and provide nutrition education and training for internal audiences.

·         Keep abreast of emerging science and policy issues in the nutrition environment and identify nutrition-related business opportunities globally.
