Be Prepared for Strive Not to Drive and a Future of Safe Competent Cycling!
Traffic Skills 101 class will help you gain the competence and skills to feel comfortable riding your bike on the road. The course will include classroom discussion and group ride led by certified instructors with commuting experience certified by the League of American Bicyclists.
Course topics include: bike selection; fit and equipment; route selection and backup plans; drive your bike (vehicular cycling); handling skills and practice drills; and safety and emergency maneuvers.
Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 10 AM - 4 PM, YWCA multi-purpose room. Working bicycle and helmet required. Bring a snack/lunch. $20 registration, half-price for youth 12 - 16. Scholarships available.

Traffic Skills 101 to your organization
Buncombe County’s ten nationally certified bicycle safety instructors
want to assist your organization! By promoting and/or sponsoring a League of
American Bicyclists training, your organization will be ensuring safe and competent
bicycling for commuting, recreation and/or exercise.
We would be delighted to offer your organization tailored classes for your particular needs. All classes include safe riding tips, basic bicycle maintenance and safe riding skills building. Below are some classes that we offer or we could work with your organization to further tailor a class to your needs.
