About Us

The Strathcona Parents Support Group for Special Needs began in February 2014 as a result of collaboration between Strathcona Community School, Neighborhood Assistant, and Parents.

We exist by recognizing a need to provide a meeting place where parents, caregivers, and educators can learn from each other through...

  • Shared experiences
  • Discuss issues of common concern
  • Learn what resources are available
  • Empowerment through support, workshops and participation
We are in the midst of negotiation a new location for our parent support group meetings.  This location is the Downtown Eastside Neighborhood House. Stay tune for more information.
