Strategic Planning for the Libraries
Good morning,
The Provost has asked the Library to submit a new Strategic Plan by the end of March. This is an opportunity for us to make sure our goals align with the University's commitments and goals. This comes at a very good time for us given the Library's recent reorganization. The Associate University Librarians will work with their departments and branches to develop goals and projected outcomes for their areas of responsibility. I ask all of you to contribute to this process. You will be invited to meetings to discuss what we should be doing to provide the best possible services and resources for BU students and faculty given the goals of the University. You will be asked for feedback once an initial draft has been written. Together we can continue to create an outstanding library which is responsive to the needs of students and which supports faculty in their research, teaching, and service.
