Dear Friends,

June 2 / 3 we will be taking up a special collection to support the Catholic Eparchy (diocese) of

Keren, which is located in Eritrea (East Africa).  The diocese of Keren is located in an arid, rugged

mountainous region and is often ravaged with frequent droughts—finding drinking water is regularly a

challenge.  The Catholic Church in Keren serves as a beacon of hope to many, providing pastoral

care, running clinics, feeding malnourished children, caring for expectant mothers and orphans, and

promoting peace and reconciliation.  Please support our sisters and brothers in need!

Thanks to Charlotte Templeton who has agreed to coordinate the gift of flowers for the church!  Her

email will be:  Charlotte will keep the schedule of weekly flower

donations.  If you think you can donate flowers for the church, contact Charlotte and she will give

you a date.  You can donate flowers and use the vases in the sacristy or you can bring flowers already

arranged.  If you have extra flowers or greens in your garden, share them with the church!
