St Paul hosted the Bass Lake Ministry at the Melody Drive-In at Bass Lake on June 22nd, July 20th and Aug 17th this summer.
A children's chat was added this summer to reach out to younger attendees. The June 22nd chat was titled "Putting on the Armor of God" taken from Ephesians 6:10-18. The July 20 chat was postponed due to a rain storm that brought much needed rain to the region. The Aug 17th chat was titled "Fishers of Men" taken from Matthew 4:19.
Julie Hanus explained the meanings of the verses using everyday objects, toys and games the children could see and touch. Lauren Redlin would demonstrate these objects, toys and games to help explain these meanings to the youngsters. A craft with the same message was given to the children to take home and assemble to reinforce the theme of the day. Pastor Fakih supported Julie and Lauren with loving guidance and suggestions.
On May 25, 2025 the members of St Paul honored our military veterans who bravely served in the US armed forces to protect our country and our freedom to worship God. Tyler Brooke (US Army), Franklin Furr (US Air Force) and George Vandy (US Army) were honored at this special service. Pastor Fakih said prayers for our current military members for safety and God's continued blessings on our country and people all around the world.
Easter Sunday 2025 was celebrated by the congregation of St Paul with a sunrise service followed by breakfast in the church basement.
The Sunday School children walked into the sanctuary during the first hymn waving palms similar to the crowds of Jerusalem that waved palms as Jesus passed by riding a donkey.
The congregation sang "All Glory, Laud and Honor" as the children then stood in front of the altar continuing to wave the palms.
St Paul celebrated Mission Sunday on March 30, 2025 with special guest speaker the Rev. Dr. Geoffrey L. Robinson. Pastor Robinson is the Executive for Outreach and Human Care with the Indiana District Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and gave a sermonette and PowerPoint presentation on current mission projects within the state of Indiana.
The angel appears to the shepherds to tell of the birth of Jesus!
The angels, shepherds, animals, Mary and Joseph are celebrating the birth of Jesus!
We hope you and your family will have a warm and spirit-filled experience with us as we worship and fellowship together at our services, events, and ministries.
We'd also like to invite you to make an online prayer request. You're prayer request opens the door, and God is waiting patiently on the other side of that door, at all times, in all situations, to join with you. Many blessings to you,
Reverend Mark Fakih
