Banna Ceoil Choláiste Eoin

Banna Ceol March 2017

Tháinig Banna Ceoil Choláiste Eoin chun seinnt dúinn.

Bhí an-sceitimíní sa halla nuair a bhí gach duine ag canadh

"luascadh luascadh”!

Bhí an-Ghaeilge beo agus bríomhar sa scoil an tseachtain seo

chaite agus bhí an-áthas orainn uilig í a úsáid!

Suggestions for Gaeilge sa bhaile!

Many families use words in Irish throughout the day at home with their children.  Please try to use some Gaeilge incidentally as you go through the day.  Little phrases, casually used here and there, will really help your children.  Here are a few suggestions but feel free to add to them.

Sín chugam an bainne led’ thoil! –

Pass me the milk please.

Cá bhfuil do chota? – Where is your coat?

Cén t-am é?  - What time is it?

Dún an doras! – Close the door!

Brostaigh ort! - Hurry up!

Tá an dinnéar réidh. – Dinner is ready!

Déan do obair bhaile! – Do your homework!

Isteach leat sa leaba! – Off you go into bed!

Codladh sámh! – Goodnight!

Maith thú! – Well done!

Tá tú go hiontach! – You’re brilliant!
