Props  (#1, #3)

Like a pair of angry bears, Props are strong and
intimidating with deceptive speed for their size. They
have an unrelenting desire for destruction and random
mayhem. Props must be strong enough to "prop" up
the scrum and are staunch enforcers at the rucks
and mauls.

Caution: Do not disturb while hibernating!

Hooker (#2)
Hookers are versatile athletes that are as good with their feet as they are with their hands. Tough enough for the front row of the scrum but small enough to be wedged in between two props! Hookers are notorious nuisances who will not hesitate to jump in the middle of a ruck or maul looking to poach the opponent's ball.

Caution: They will bite if you try to take their rugby ball!

2nd Rows / Locks (#4, #5)
Locks are a dangerous pair! Cold blooded killers that will lurk at
the bottom of the ruck waiting for their chance to strike. Strong
legs and a sturdy back make them the driving force in the scrum
and a menacing presence in loose play. Thick skin and a love for
the blood and guts hard work of rucks, scrums and mauls are
standard requirements for locks.

Caution: Tangle with these two and YOU will be the one turned
into a handbag!

Flankers and  #8 (#6, #7, #8)
Flankers and the #8 are often called loose forwards or the back row of the scrum. Because they are "loose" on the scrum they are the first to break on the ball and are
dedicated pack hunters. Snapping, snarling and biting,
they are unconditionally focused on pursuing and taking
the ball carrier down for the kill.

Caution: They come from everywhere!

Scrumhalf, Flyhalf and Fullback
(#9, #10, #15)

These three are the leaders of the team. Like the lioness
on the plain, they are confident in their skill and their
domination. Often the most experienced players on the
team and capable of directing the attack and the defense.
They must be able to run, pass, kick, tackle, call plays and
coordinate team efforts - they do it all and do it well.
The Team Captain is often among the three.

Caution: Do not underestimate the Queen of the Beasts!

Centers (#12, #13)
Centers are the charging Rhinos of Rugby! They are
powerful runners who would prefer to trample their
opponents rather than pass the ball or juke. They are just as lethal on defense where they gobble up space and never miss a chance to skewer an opposing runner.
Centers must be fast, strong and reliable tacklers.

Caution: Pick your poison - the horn or the hooves!

Wings (#11, #14,)
Wings are equal parts speed and ferocity. Although fast
and light, they are capable of taking down any player on
the pitch and will close the distance in the blink of an eye.
Wings must be fast enough to cover large areas of the
pitch and be reliable open field defenders. Wings are often
the last line of defense and must be sure tacklers.

Caution: No head start is enough to keep you safe!
