COUNTER CULTURE CLUB initiative:

We encourage students to establish COUNTER-CULTURE CLUBS to campaign against anti-social behaviours (ASB). Such ASB comes in many forms from foul language to obscene salaries to exploitative behaviours etc. The free poster download listed at the bottom can be used to promote your COUNTER CULTURE CLUB standing against anti-social behaviours. The following guidelines will help guide the running of COUNTER-CULTURE CLUBS:

Purpose of each COUNTER-CULTURE CLUB:
  • To regularly meet to organise campaign actions against important anti-social behaviours of the day.
Meeting agenda for each COUNTER-CULTURE CLUB:
  • Welcome from club chairperson (elected from members each year).
  • Feedback from campaign actions since last meeting.
  • Consideration of future campaign actions against ASB.
  • Selection of say 3 campaign actions against ASB to focus on at any one time (some campaign actions may be ongoing such as displaying stopasb.org posters and stickers).
  • If short of campaign action ideas perhaps consider regular campus litter picks.
  • Decide on dates etc. for future campaign actions and meetings before closing the meeting after thanking people for attending.
