This is Grandma Lo Bianco's "No Fail Meatballs" from my friend Fran! I tweaked it a little... so they have a little StoneGable magic in them too!

1 lb ground hamburger ( I am 1 of the 27 lbs of deer hamburger in my freezer!)

1/2 lb ground pork

1/2 lb ground veal

1 TBS olive oil

1 large onion, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, pressed

6 eggs, yes 6

2 FULL handfuls of regular bread crumbs

2 FULL handful of Parmesan Cheese, use the green shakey stuff!

2 tsp dried basil

2 tsp dried oregano

4 TBS dried parsley

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Heat oil on medium heat in a large skillet. Add onions and cook until they are translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute. Remove from heat.

In a large bowl add the onions and all the ingredients and mix together. Form into meatballs and put them on a baking sheet. Bake meatballs for 15 minutes.

Put the meatballs into a slow cooker insert. Cover with Mariana sauce and gently stir... use lots of sauce... the meatballs suck up the liquid.

Put your covered slow cooker insert into the refrigerator overnight. This is an important step. This makes a good meatball a fantastic one!  In the morning put the insert back into the slow cooker and cook the meatballs and sauce for a couple of hours on low. Make sure you have enough sauce in your slow cooker.
