Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. As the National Honor Society in
Psychology, Psi Chi is an affiliate of the American
Psychological Association (APA) with over 1,000
chapters located in colleges and universities all over the
US and Canada. In addition to academic recognition,
each chapter offers its members the chance to step
outside the regular curriculum and enhance their
learning through programs, events, and practical
experience. Operated by student officers and faculty
advisors, Psi Chi offers opportunities intend help to
stimulate and encourage students, as well as, provide
them with the tools to further their profession success in
