TORNADO DISASTER RESPONSE
Thanks to Julia Hughes and the team of 14 who worked last Sat. in Mayflower on tornado response and clean-up (not to mention Sarah Ball and a number of folks from San Damiano, who made the arrangements). Anyone want to lead a team next Sat., May 18? In the meantime, if you as an individual would like to volunteer, you could do so from one of the check-in sites below.
Our diocesan disaster response team is partnering with Team Rubicon, a veteran-led disaster response organization that works with the Faulkner County Judge, Faulkner County Office of Emergency Management, and the cities of Mayflower and Vilonia, to support the expedient home repair and residential debris removal effort in the wake of the tornado. Team Rubicon has conducted digital damage assessments on individual properties across the county, and has established three Volunteer Resource Centers.
