& Collection of Recycling Items
The Church and church office are open during the following times:
Mon, Tues, Thurs & Fri 9am - 1pm
The church office stocks recycling boxes, food caddies, garden waste & clear recycling bags, available during office hours.

Our Priest in Charge The Rev Dr Amanda (Mandy) Elmes joined us in July 2014 as our Priest in Charge and looks after the parishes of Langham with Boxted and Great Horkesley as well as our own parish of West Bergholt.

Mrs Liz Dixon is the church administrator, covering the 3 parishes looked after by Rev. Dr. Mandy Elmes, namely Langham with Boxted, West Bergholt and Great Horkesley. Liz is based in the church office at St Mary's Church, West Bergholt. The Feb/March 2018 edition of our church magazine 'Good News' is now available at the bottom of this page. If you would like a paper copy delivered to your door (free of charge!) please contact the parish office.

Sundays -St Mary's West Bergholt

1st  Sunday in month - 9.30am Holy Communion (with Kid's Church*)
2nd Sunday - 9.30 am Messy Church (All Age Worship) and 6.30pm (summer months only) Evening Prayer (Book of Common Prayer)
3rd Sunday - 11.15am Holy Communion (with Kid's Church)
4th Sunday - 9.30am Morning Worship (with Kid's Church)
5th Sunday -
Joint with Methodist or Great Horkesley and Langham with Boxted Churches (venue rotates between the churches so times may vary)

Monday  9.30am  - Prayer Group (weekly)

Tuesday 8pm - Home Group (fortnightly)

Thursday - 9am - Open House (weekly in
                     term time in the church)

Friday     - 7.45pm - Wired (our monthly christian youth club for those at 2ndry school - see Church Diary)

Sunday Services in the churches at Great Horkesley and Langham with Boxted
Mandy Elmes is also the Priest-in-Charge for the churches in Great Horkesley and Langham with Boxted. This means that she is not able to be with us in West Bergholt every Sunday. Praise on 4! - Cafe Style Church
Sunday 25 March @ 9.30am
We are trying out a new informal, relaxed style of worship service on our 4th Sundays.
The next one is Sun 25 March @ 9.30am and the theme will be Palm Sunday. There will be uplifting worship songs and a talk. All are very welcome to join us.

Table Top Sale - Sat 17 March
Thank you to all who organised and helped on the day - the Wired youth group raised £160 towards the cost of our Families' Worker!

Good Friday Meditation Service
Friday 30 March @ 10am
A quiet, meditative service reflecting on the events of Jesus' trial and crucifixion. All are very welcome.

Easter Sunday Communion
Sunday 1 April @ 9.30am
Join us as we celebrate Easter and the hope of new life in Christ Jesus! All welcome, especially visitors.

Senior Citizens' Lunch - Saturday 7 April

Next Messy Church 9.30am Sunday
8 April 2018
Join us for our popular Messy Church service - worship and activities for all ages in an informal, family friendly style. The theme for April is Easter.

Next Wired Youth Group
Friday 13 April @ 7.45pm
Wired is St Mary's youth club for young people aged 11+ with an emphasis on organised, fun activities, aiming to encourage positive relationships and attitudes among our young people. There will be some light Christian messages given during these sessions with the aim of giving the young people the Christian message in an environment where they are free to decide their own views and voice their own opinions. For more information, contact wiredwb@gmail.com

Thursday Open House Coffee Mornings
9am -11am every Thursday in term time is our open house coffee morning in the church. Drop in for a chat and a piece of homemade cake after the school run - pre-school children welcome!

Thursday 5Ts Club
(5Ts stands for Together on Thursdays for Tea at Two-Thirty!)
Our 5Ts club now meets every Thursday, including during school holidays, in the church hall @ 2.30pm. Join us for tea and cake, a chat and a chance to play some board games. All welcome.

Home Groups
We currently have 2 home groups which meet regularly during term time to discuss the bible and to learn from it and from each other, see the regular events page for more information.
