Active Flag

What is an Active School ?
The Active Flag (ASF) is awarded to schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community. ASF (Active School Flag) is a Department of Education and Skills initiative supported by Healthy Ireland.

Our school aims to have all children physically active for 60 minutes each day through active breaks and active travel. Our school aims to provide all pupils with appropriate PE which is broad and balanced with access to a variety of PE resources. Our school is committed to having an Active School Week each year.

Our school aims to work with students, parents and the local community to encourage everyone to participate in the Active Schools Flag process.

At school we have many new initiatives introduced, e.g. go noodle, just dance, 10@10, running class, jogging and active line. Children have become more active in school, becasue of these initiatives.
