Welcome to St Mary's College Boat Club

About the Club

We are a friendly, but competitive rowing club in Durham that currently has over 50 members.
The club was first founded in 1926, having to borrow boats from St Cuthbert's Society Boat Club.  The club was all female until 2005 when the college became mixed.  We now have 7 boats, including a double scull, 5 fours and an eight. Our boathouse is shared with St Chad's College Boat Club and is located on the River Wear between Prebends and Kingsgate Bridges.

If you are interested in rowing for the club then please contact the Club President, James Gunn or the relevant Fresher's Captain using the links on the Exec page.
Previous experience is not required.
Rowing is a brilliant experience, not to be missed.
