The Art Department is looking for donations of used traditional (non-digital) cameras and darkroom equipment for next semesters photography class.  I have brought my personal darkroom to the school for the student's to use.  Many of these items can be found at rummage sales and antique stores for very little money.  I am also accepting donations to the art fund in order to purchase the required chemicals, etc.

Thank you for all you do and God Bless!

A story on ESPN.com caught my eye this morning and reminded me just how precious life is.  A high school basketball player in Fennville, Michigan, near Detroit, collapsed and died on the court seconds after making a game winning layup in overtime to cap off his team's 20-0 perfect season.

To compound this tragedy, this is second student athlete at Fennville High School to die in the past 14 months; a high school wrestler died at his home following a match in January 2010. It is stories such as this that should help us reflect appreciate God's greatest gifts...our children and the smiles and joy they bring us.

Please be sure to include the families, students, and faculty of Fennville High in your prayers as they navigate this difficult time.

The United States' last World War I veteran died yesterday.  Frank Buckles, age 110, passed away of natural causes at his home in Morgontown, West Virginia.  He entered the service in 1917 after lying about his age, he was 16 1/2 years old.  He is last known veteran of World War I; all known French, German, and Canadian servicemen have since passed away.
