STMA Rotary Names March Students of the Month

STMA Rotary Club is pleased to announce that STMA juniors Riley McMahon and Marcus Krupke have been named students of the month for March.

Riley McMahon
Riley is the daughter of Dennis and Janice McMahon of Albertville.  She is an honor roll student and on the prom committee. She plans to study psychology in college.

Marcus is the son of Lance and Renee Krupke of St. Michael.  He is a member of the National Honor Society, Band, Jazz Band, Choir, FCA, Student Council, Captains Council, Football Leadership Council and is a three sport athlete. (Football, Basketball and Baseball) He has received an academic All-Conference six times, received the Courtesy and Respect Award and was named Student of the Year his freshman year. He plans to play baseball in college and study Natural Engineering.

“Rotary is very proud to recognize Riley and Marcus as students of the month for March,” said Kristin Rogers, STMA Rotary Club President.  “They have demonstrated a commitment to academic excellence and athletics, and represent the service above self ideals of Rotary.  We wish them both successful futures.”

The STMA Rotary Club honors students of the month during each month of the school year.  The awards are given during the students’ junior year so they may include them on college applications and scholarship forms.  Rotary Students of the Month are selected by STMA’s home room teachers.  Rotary Students of the Month must demonstrate an interest in their community, have personal accomplishments or achievements, show respect to themselves and others, show a passion for “Service Above Self” and must be drug/alcohol free and cannot have committed a crime.
