2018 St. Margaret Parish Festival
July 27th and 28th

This year, the festival will feature musical guests The Reaganomics and Zoo Trippin' plus the comedic stylings of Father Josh Wagner! In addition to casino games, midway rides, children's activities, silent auction, raffle and amazing food, we will also have a video game truck for festival goers of all ages.

FESTIVAL RAFFLE TICKETS for our Parish Festival have been mailed. If you did not receive your tickets please call the parish office, 614-279-1690. Additional tickets may be obtained at the parish office. 
The raffle tickets are a vital part of our parish festival and the parish revenue. We encourage everyone to PLEASE sell his/her raffle tickets. If you are unable to sell all of your tickets it would be helpful if unsold tickets were returned to the Parish Office so that we can account for the total number of tickets sold.

SET-UP workers are needed July, 24 25 & 26, on the grounds to help put up booths, games and electrical

THE ANNUAL ST. MARGARET OF CORTONA FESTIVAL PROCESSION will be SUNDAY, JULY 29 AFTER THE 10:30 a.m. MASS. For those of you who haven’t participated in this yet or are new to the parish here are the details: The procession route is almost 1 mile. It starts at St. Margaret Church and goes North on Hague Ave. East on Trabue Rd. and ends at the location of the Old Church (now Pomante Construction). After the procession the Knights of Columbus provide ice cream for kids of all ages. (1 to 100). Shuttle services will be provided by THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS after the procession: - You can leave your car at St. Margaret during the procession. A shuttle service will take you from Pomante’s Construction back to St. Margaret after the procession. If you need

ST. MARGARET FESTIVAL SILENT AUCTION COMMITTEE is seeking donations of gift cards 
and other items of value through July 17. Please consider offering a donation of your time providing a professional service such as photography, computer repair, house cleaning, landscaping, etc.  Do you sell Tastefully Simple, Thirty-One or some other "in home party" product?  Donate a basket full or an item and include your business card! Parish Appreciation/Volunteers Dinner: THURSDAY, JULY 26, 6:00 PM is the Parish Appreciation/Volunteers Dinner. Choir, Ushers, Lay Ministers, Servers, all Committee members, Parish Council members, PSR teachers and aides, Sacristan, Festival, Fish Fry and Bingo workers and all volunteers of the parish are invited to an evening of appreciation for their service. Please plan to attend. 

Children's Tent and Trash Crew The St. Margaret Parish Festival is just around the corner.  The Youth Group will be supporting the Kids Game Tent and Trash/Cleanup again. New This Year - We'll be selling wristbands for a Video Game Truck! We'll need youth and adult volunteers. This is a great way for 7th-8th graders to accumulate service hours toward the required 20 hours they need for Confirmation in 2019. FESTIVAL MEMORIAL FLOWER FUND: If you wish to contribute in memory of a deceased relative or friend, you may do so by using the special envelope which is in your envelope packet or use any envelope with your name written on it. We will acknowledge all donations received in the bulletin.
 
FESTIVAL PIZZA: St. Margaret’s homemade pizza is from a recipe created by the women of the parish when the festival began.  This tradition must continue! Many of the long-time volunteers from past years are no longer able to help us.  We are in need of men, women, and school age children (with their parents!) that would like to help.  This is a great way for your entire family to work together at the festival.  We need help beginning at 3:00 pm on both Friday and Saturday. Help is also needed from a couple of high school students for approximately two hours with set up one night the week prior to the festival (can be flexible) and the Monday evening after. One of the advantages we enjoy is waiting for the dough to rise!  During these breaks in the action we are able to go out and enjoy the festival during the evening. NOW IS THE TIME TO STOCK UP AND BEGIN BAKING AND FREEZING FOR THE FESTIVAL! We need your baking skills! The homemade desserts and baked good items are so popular that we run out every year and have to close the booth early, so please plan to donate one or more items. We are looking for pies, breads, muffins, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, and cakes. Your help is most appreciated. Donated items should be dropped off the Friday and/or Saturday of the Festival in Kulp Hall.
 
PIZZELLES: If you have a pizzelle iron, please make a batch of pizzelles for the Festival.  Make them when the weather is cool and keep them in the freezer until the festival.
