The Maquis: Endurance

Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty.~ John F. Kennedy, president of the USA 1960-1963

The Maquis have always been the bad guys of the Milky Way. Branded as traitors and terrorists and blamed for every terrorist action since the 2360s, they nevertheless have a story of their own to tell.

What would you do if a hostile country or world was attacking your family and your livelihood? If the government who promised to protect you sat in comittees and debated whether a treaty protecting billions should be broken or not over a few hundred thousand people? Would you fight, or would you sit passively by? Those who would fight, step this way.  Interested in learning more? See the Maquis members and learn about the ships they currently control.

It is said that Shackleton placed advertisements in London newspapers that read:"MEN WANTED: For hazardous journey. Small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in case of success."~ Sir Earnest Shackleton, 1914
