Bereavement/GriefShare

LOSS OF A SPOUSE - Tuesday, September 18: Loss of a Spouse is a single evening GriefShare seminar. The death of a spouse brings a unique kind of pain. People who are widowed haven’t just lost a loved one—they’ve lost an entire lifestyle. That’s why we’re offering this new program.  This program will be repeated on March 14, 2019 at Immaculate Conception in Botkins.

This two-hour seminar works just like a typical GriefShare meeting or a Surviving the Holidays event, with a short video followed by small-group discussion. The video features expert Christian counselors, authors, and pastors, including new interviews with some of your favorites from the GriefShare curriculum.

Participants will also take home a valuable Loss of a Spouse booklet that includes:

  1. ·                   A video note-taking outline
  2. ·                   Devotional materials that help people find hope in God’s Word
  3. ·                   Grief recovery exercises
  4. ·                   Journaling prompts.

SURVIVING THE HOLIDAYS - November 13, 2018.  Session will be held at St Joseph Adult Center, 6:30-8:30pm.  This single-session is designed to help participants through the holidays - especially Thanksgiving and Christmas.    Call Angie Woodruff (937-693-7622 ) or Lori Wilson (419-738-2115) for more information or to register.   We're here to help you on your journey from Mourning to Joy.

GriefShare sessions will begin again next May...
GriefShare is a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. This group is sponsored by people who understand what you are experiencing and want to offer you comfort and encouragement during this difficult time.

Each GriefShare session includes a video seminar and group discussion. A GriefShare workbook assists you with note-taking, journaling and grief study. The videos feature top experts on grief recovery, dramatic reenactments about living with grief and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours.
