'Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
'I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.' John 15,vs 4-5

As it closes the day, the sun,
eclipsed by the dhow,
majestically sinks below shimmering
flooding heavens with burnt orange,
deep into the night sky.
The ethereal Glory of God
bursting through nature’s art.
The light of life, separating
day and night, light from darkness,
The dhow cuts the water,
trade winds filling shadowed sail.
In history, spices above, human misery
Cargo stolen, shackled and sold,
Hands, which once brutally maimed,
rise now in worship, Jesus triumphant.
Mankind transformed, equal at the cross.
Neither Jew nor Gentile,
Slave nor free.
