Walking Group: Quoile

There was something unusual about the make-up of our walking group as we explored the banks of the Quoile in Downpatrick on Wednesday evening (3rd July) – the men outnumbered the women by 6 to 4. This was the first time in almost four years of walking that the gender balance has swung this way. It was a lovely evening to be out and about with a range of wildlife, historic and Game of Thrones features along the way.

Our next outing is a midweek stroll through Lackan Bog on Wednesday 17th July.

The next bus trips will be on Saturday 27th July when we go to Fairhead (next stop Rathlin) and on Saturday 3rd August when we go to Cuilcagh in County Fermanagh to climb the “Stairway to Heaven”. Booking is essential for these and other bus trips – please contact Kevin McGlynn on 078 3596 0804 or kevin.mcglynn62@gmail.com if you are interested in coming along.
