Walking Group: Lough Money

Our walking group went to St Patrick’s country on the last day of March to walk the loanins around Lough Money. This area was well storied before St Patrick made his mark as was evidenced by the dolmen, stone circles and standing stones we passed. We also enjoyed great views over the drumlin countryside, over Strangford Lough and over Lough Money (the lake of the bog), especially when we climbed to St Patrick’s statue.

Our next walk will be on Saturday 14th April when we go to Slievemageogh in the Mournes leaving St John’s at 9.00am. Our mid-week walks resume on the following Tuesday (17th April) with a trip to the seaside at Murlough (leaving St John’s at 7.00pm). Contact Kevin McGlynn on 078 3596 0804 or kevin.mcglynn62@gmail.com if you are interested in coming along.
