Walking Group: St John’s Point

Our group walked around the coast from Killough to Rossglass via St John’s Point lighthouse along a section of the Ulster Way on Saturday (29th September). It was a beautiful bright morning with hardly a cloud in the blue sky. This gave us wonderful views along the rugged shore and across the bay to the Mournes.

Our next walk will be on Saturday 14th October when we will be going

to the Mournes. We will be going to Slievemageogh which is a very accessible summit for all. The difficult part may be deciding where to go for refreshments afterwards! We will be leaving the club at 9.30am as usual.

Sat 14th October - Slievemageogh

Sat 11th November - Audleystown (near Strangford)

Sat 25th November - Pierce’s Castle

Sat 9th December - Lagan Towpath

Sat 6th January - Tollymore to Meelmore Lodge

Sat 20th January - St Patrick’s Way (Lough Money)

We meet at St John’s, leaving the club at 9.30am. Walks may change at short notice depending on weather etc
