The TeasPOT @ St John's
The Tea sPOT is open Monday - Saturday 10h00 - 15h00.
It is run in partnership with the Innovate Trust on Monday to Friday.  Volunteer groups run Saturdays.
The Tea sPOT has once again been given the top Food Hygiene Rating of 5 by Cardiff County Council.

Sundays : 09h15-10h00 and 17h00-18h00             Practice Night : Thursday 19h30 - 21h00
Any changes and cancellations are advertised on the Tower Notices forum of the Llandaff & Monmouth DACBR.

 Organ Recitals
The next recital is on Friday August 12th at 1.15 pm by Gareth Price (Summer Fields School, Oxford).

Concerts in St John's
Sunday 24th July : 4.00 pm.  Free concert by the Dorking Choral Society, Fascinating Rhythm (Brooklyn 1900), music by Gershwin, Ellington, Copland and Kern. They will then stay on to sing Evensong with us.

Monday 8 August : 7.00 pm.  Concert by the Cardiff Arms Park Male Choir together with an Icelandic Male Choir, the Karlakór Kjalnesinga.

Saturday 17 September:  2.00 pm. Let the Valleys Sing : Revd Paul Bigmore will launch his new hymn book of English words to traditional Welsh hymns with a Cymanfa Ganu at St John’s

Tower Open Days (Updated info)
 We are hoping to open on the Saturdays below, subject to the weather and sufficient staff resources.
July 23rd*, August 27th, September 24th
Entry : Adults (16+) £2, Accompanied Child (must be 8+) £1 except September which is free (Heritage Open Day).
Open hours 10h30 - 15h00 (*July 23rd open at 12h00 due to an earlier wedding and may close later)

Back to School Sunday : September 4th
If you are involved in education in any way at all, do bring something along that illustrates your connection.

Roald Dahl Centenary : Sat-Sun 17-18 September
Roald Dahl’s centenary will be celebrated across the city centre with a great range of activities and events, some at St John’s. Look out for the programme nearer the time, which is likely to include events in St John’s, a remarkably familiar Fantastic Mr Fox playing the organ, and a familiar priest officiating at the marriage of the Ladybird and the Head of the Fire Brigade …

 Chaplain Available ...
Subject to availability a chaplain is available in the church between 12h30 and 14h00 on Thursdays for listening, prayer and counsel.
* * * Alpha Course * * *
Monday 18 & 25 July, 12.30 is ‘Alpha follow-up’ : A chance to ask questions and look back on all the course has covered.  We'll take a break during August and in September will start a course, open to everybody, on deepening living faith and encouraging discipleship, as part of the Church in Wales’ new St Padarn’s Institute for ministry training, of both lay and ordained people. More information will follow!
