Camp Hope

CAMP HOPE  (Christian Appalachian Mountain Project, Helping Other People Enthusiastically) is a mission project for teenagers in Western Maryland.  Teams of youth with adult leaders help people who are unable to maintain or repair their homes.  The projects include such things as painting, roofing, replacing decks, building wheelchair ramps and others too numerous to list.  The youth work throughout the year to raise the funds necessary to pay for the materials needed for the job site and for their transportation, housing, and meals.  The fund-raising events, retreat, and other gatherings help the youth learn to work together as a group.  The repairs that are done are often life changing for the home owners and their appreciation is enormous.  Campers, as well, experience life changing perspectives and return with stories of fellowship, laughter, and increased faith.

Campers begin their journey in 8th Grade and continue through 12th Grade.  If you have a youth who would be interested in joining our team please contact the Church Office for further details - 410/442-2020.
