St. Innocent Orthodox Church maintains a number of active ministries, including Bible studies, special prayer services, youth groups, missions and charitable outreach. We also maintain close relationships with local Orthodox Christian monastic communities. This page describes some of our activities - we invite you to get involved!
Father Leo's Icons
In Father Leo's retirement, he is writing icons. You can view his beautiful work here. This is a wonderful way to support Father Leo and Matushka Denise.
Family Missions International
Family Missions International is an outreach to the people of the island of Mindoro in the Philippines. David and Mitzu Grubbs (and their daughter, Natalie), former members of our parish, have now moved to Mindoro to distribute school supplies to children and assist the people of Mindoro as possible.
Orthodox Christian Mission Center
St. Innocent parishioners support and actively participate in global missions through Orthodox Christian Mission Center. Our most recent mission trip was to Uganda.
Charities"Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of God is this...to care for orphans and widows in their distress..." (James 1:27)
Project Mexico is an outreach which involves Orthodox young people in the alleviation of suffering by building homes for Mexico's poor. Thousands of teens and young adults from all jurisdictions across the United States and Europe have participated.
Project Mexico also includes St. Innocent Orphanage and Mission Church in Tijuana, Mexico. This facility serves as a base for homebuilding trips and as a center from which evangelistic outreach can be conducted into neighboring communities. St. Innocent Orphanage provides a home for young teenage boys who otherwise would be forced to live on the streets. This is the only facility in all of Tijuana which focuses on orphaned and abused teenage boys.

International Orthodox Christian Charities
IOCC, in the spirit of Christ’s love, offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide, without discrimination, and strengthens the capacity of the Orthodox Church to so respond.
Monastic CommunitiesOrthodox Christians place a special value on the monastic life and treasure the relationships between a parish and monastic communities. Our monasteries provide places of spiritual refuge and solace. All are invited to make pilgrimages to local monasteries for times of quiet, prayer and community worship.
Holy Assumption Monastery, Calistoga, CA
A women's monastic community in nearby Napa County. The monastery's center of worship is a reproduction of the historic chapel at Fort Ross.
Holy Cross Monastery, Castro Valley, CA
A local men's monastic community. We often worship together with the monks of Holy Cross and participate at events at the monastery.
Monastery of St. John of Shanghai, Manton, CA
There are visits between our parish and the monastery.
