Mwangi helicopter

Homebuilt light helicopter built by farmhand Onesmus Mwangi of Kiambu, Kenya. 57,000 Kenyan Shillings, of which he saved through M-PESA, was spent on the design, which consists mostly of sheet aluminum and plastics obtained locally. The engine is a chaff-cutter, a device used for cutting straw or hay in animal feed. Mwangi once attempted to fly the 25-kilogram machine, but failed to leave the ground. It was seized by local police due to safety concerns.
