Kagugube-Ssendi-Ssentalo helicopter

Homebuilt single-seat helicopter designed and built by three self-taught auto mechanics and childhood friends Ronald Kagugube, James Ssendi, and Moses Ssentalo of Zaana village, Uganda. The project began in 1993, using local materials collected over time to aid in the construction, which consists primarily of car and motorcycle parts, including scrap metal, wood, plastics, and rubber. Dry cells power the electronics found in the construction, notably electric motors taken from radio cassette players.
