Filper Beta 1000

Project for a conventional helicopter with single three-blade main rotor utilizing the Gyroflex rigid rotor system, powered by a 210hp Continental IO-360D engine. Production types planned to use the 320hp Continental T6-320. The conventional layout was pursued due to difficulties and cost regarding the previous tandem-rotor designs, the Beta 200 and Beta 400, especially considering the crash of the larger Beta 400 prototype in 1967. Two versions of the Beta 1000 were planned: a two-seat variant with seats arranged in tandem, as seen in prototype form, and a four-seat variant.
