FORUM Oakcreek Community Living: Sunday June 8

Doug Sander will lead the forum on Sunday, June 8th at 12:30. He will share information about the Oakcreek Community, 1806 N Husband St, Stillwater, which is home to a number of our members. 

June Themed Potluck: Father's Day, Sunday 15

Celebrate your father, or another beloved man in your life, with a special dish. This month we are merging our themed dishes with our traditional third-Sunday potluck. The choice of sweet or savory is up to you. Please include a list of ingredients and briefly explain why you chose to share this particular dish or food with our UU community. 

Meaningful Movies: Tuesday, June 17

Bring your own brown bag supper. Popcorn will be provided. Linda Smolen, Joe Melnick and Annye Love are coordinating this event, and we welcome movie suggestions from others. Movie night will be on third Tuesdays in June, August, October, and December, 6:00 pm., every other month, alternating with Ladies’ Night Out. We are in the process of making a list for upcoming viewing this year, so let us know which movies you’d like the group to watch and discuss, and be sure to put UU Movie Night on your calendar. See you at the movies!! 

Solstice Pool Party Fundraiser: Saturday June 21

Come enjoy some fun in the sun on Saturday, June 21 from 3 - 7 pm at the home of Lynn and John Little, 4107 Sierra Lane. We will have pool floats/toys, music, corn hole, burger meal with all the trimmings, and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. There is a sign up sheet in the Social Room, and a head count would be appreciated by Sunday, June 15th.

Pride Month

Pride Month commemorates the ongoing struggle for equality and celebrates the achievements of the LGBTQ+ community. It has its roots in the Stonewall Riots of 1969, a turning point in the fight for gay rights. During Pride Month, various events like parades, festivals, and community gatherings take place to celebrate LGBTQ+ culture, voices, and history. 

Raising Voices Choice - June 7-17

Raising Voices provides a supportive choral community for persons living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. Cognitive decline can be isolating for those experiencing it as well as their loved ones. The Raising Voices Choir will be singing once a week from 1:00 to 3:00 at Modella Art Gallery.
