Marc Andonian, Ph.D.

Marc Andonian has a Ph.D. in exercise physiology and gerontology and has been studying and practicing Taijiquan and Qigong since 1995. He currently shares his knowledge and love of Yangjia Michuan Taijiquan (YMT), in the tradition of Master Wang Yen Nien to anyone interested in learning this beautiful historic form. He has studied under Bede Bidlack, Ph.D. of Still Mountain T'ai Chi Center (now closed) and with Scott Rodell of Great River Taoist Center in Washington DC (www.grtc.org). In addition to studying, practicing and sharing YMT, Marc has studied a several other T'ai Chi and Qi Gong forms over the years, and he continues to study with several teachers in the region, including Dr. Christopher Viggiano. He is currently studying medical QiGong, and martial arts techniques and principles from many different systems with the goal of integrating these disciplines to support health and wellness.

Marc was a co-founder and board member of the Taijiquan Enthusiasts Association, and is a member of the American Yangjia Taijiquan Association, where he has contributed several articles on his experiences with taijiquan. In 2015, Marc was recognized for his contributions to the martial arts by Soke Murphy's Society of Black Belts of America. Marc teaches Taijiquan and Qigong at Church of the Holy Spirit (Episcopal) in Harleysville, PA.

During the week, Marc is a strategic adviser and consultant to technology executives for a global research and advisory services firm.
