Pastoral Council and Stewardship Member Information

The members of the Pastoral Council, in cooperation with the Parish Staff, continue to look for ways to implement the principles of our Mission Statement and improve on the five areas of concern that surfaced from our open meetings;
  • Communication
  • Youth Ministry
  • Prayer and Spirituality
  • Adult Faith Formation
  • Praying Our Life Experiences in Community
You are invited to consider serving as a member of either the Pastoral Council or the Stewardship Committee.
 
 
Pastoral Council
Length of Service: 3 Years
Meetings Held:   Once a month
Qualifications:  Active and participating parishioner;   A participant in the ongoing life of the parish and in the celebration of the Eucharist; Bring a vision and a desire for spiritual growth in oneself and the life of the Parish;   Possess an ability and willingness to work with others;   listen and speak honestly; The ability to inspire and empower others.
 
 
Stewardship Committee
A committee of 4 or 5 members
Have writing and communicative skills
Be ready to work on communicating Stewardship through the parish on a regular basis

Active participant in the life of the Parish;   ‘Attitude of Gratitude’;   Willingness to work with others;   recognize Stewardship as a response to God’s generosity and our call as Baptized Christians. One who living the Gospel way of life gives witness to Christ through ones gifts and talents.
 
 
If you feel called to serve in either capacity, you are encouraged to submit your name in writing to Father Donald.

  • What gifts and talents you bring to the work of the Pastoral Council; or the Stewardship Committee
  • A short summary of your involvement in the Parish of St. Ignatius Martyr
  • A statement of your vision for the future of our Parish and how we may further implement our Mission Statement.
