~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`.            Parish Listening Sessions regarding the crisis
                              of abuse and church cover-up
Our parish staff and I have thought it might be helpful to have open listening sessions to afford parishioners an opportunity to speak their minds and hearts on the current crisis of abuse and cover-up in our church.  We will have two sessions, each after one of the weekend Masses, to give as wide an opportunity as possible for people to come.
  • One will be held following the 5:00 p.m. Mass on Saturday, October 13.
  • The other will be held following the 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday, October 21.
We will gather in the Monsignor Cass Center.  I trust these will be helpful as we all continue to sense the pain of the victims and feel the pain of our own disillusionment.
An Invitation
The parish family of St. Ignatius Martyr warmly welcomes those who want to know more about the Catholic Church and its traditions. We meet weekly to share our faith journey and discover how God is calling us through conversation, small group discussion and ritual celebrations.
This process, known as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), is for those who are interested in becoming Catholic, and for baptized Catholics who want to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
Our sessions begin on Monday, September 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Msgr. Cass Center. Are you or someone you know interested? Just want to ask some questions? If so, call the parish office at 432-0045, and ask for Sr. Diane.
Fall Bible Study  - The Acts of the Apostles
St. Luke continues the story of the risen Jesus who will now extend His reign through the apostles and others to the furthest reaches of the Roman Empire. The mysterious presence of Jesus haunts the whole story of Acts.
We are using the study guide Acts in the “N. T. Wright for Everyone Bible Study
Guides” series (date 2010). Participants watch for emails from Sr. Diane about
the upcoming meeting dates on Sept. 24 and 26 in Msgr Cass Center.
                     Parish E-Letter
We have begun publishing out E-Letter to our parish members. If you have completed your census forms or have been receiving our email newsletters in the past, you will be on our list. It hopefully will be sort of a mini-bulletin to keep you abreast of what's going on in the parish. Look for it in you new e-mails today.
       Give On-Line
Our parish offers an online donation system to permit one-time or recurring online giving to support the parish and diocese.  If you are interested in this process please click here:
