Do you know about Qualified Charitable Distributions? (QCDs)

Taxpayers over 70-1/2 can contribute up to $100,000 each year from Traditional, Rollover or Inherited IRAs directly to charity.  This can give taxpayers who do not itemize deductions a way to get a tax benefit from the charitable gift.  Such direct gifts made before December 31 can count toward satisfying your Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) but are not reported as adjusted gross income, so they not only save income taxes but can hold down the amount of your social security benefits that are taxed, or limit the impact of income-based surcharges on Medicare premiums.

The check from the IRA custodian must be made payable to the charity, not the taxpayer and the charitable distribution must be made before you have taken your required minimum distributions for the year.  By using a QCD you can be a help to our parish's mission while enjoying benefits for yourself as well!

Please consult your tax advisor for the details

An Invitation

The parish family of St. Ignatius Martyr warmly welcomes those who want to know more about the Catholic Church and its traditions. We meet weekly to share our faith journey and discover how God is calling us through conversation, small group discussion and ritual celebrations.
This process, known as the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults), is for those who are interested in becoming Catholic, and for baptized Catholics who want to receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.
Are you or someone you know interested? Just want to ask some questions? If so, call the parish office at 432-0045, and ask for Sr. Diane.

                     Parish E-Letter
We have begun publishing out E-Letter to our parish members. If you have completed your census forms or have been receiving our email newsletters in the past, you will be on our list. It hopefully will be sort of a mini-bulletin to keep you abreast of what's going on in the parish. Look for it in you new e-mails today.

       Give On-Line

Our parish offers an online donation system to permit one-time or recurring online giving to support the parish and diocese.  If you are interested in this process please click here:

Rosary Altar Society

Mission Statement

With devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, we are committed to praying the Rosary for world peace and the spiritual benefit of all peoples.

As Rosarians, we have a special privilege of ministering to the care of the Altar, preparing linens and assisting with decorations for holidays and special events.  We also conduct fundraisers and participate in other activities as needed for the benefit of the Church.

The Rosary Altar Society offers a deeper connection to the church for all and provides a forum to meet, discuss and participate in current events at our Church.

New members are always welcome. If interested in joining, or to obtain additional information, please contact:  Bernadette at 516-897-1904   or   Betty at 516-608-8255
