Use solar radiation heat to cool the water. Radiant water pipes going in the floor slab to cool the whole house. Well-insulated house, so cooling requirement is low. R-55!! Inexpensive and environmental friendly. How it cools? Desiccants (LiBr) absorbs vapor and lowers pressure. Low pressure causes refrigerant to evaporate and takes away heat. developed two impressive visual display systems at their facility on the campus of UC San Diego: the STARcave and HIPerWall. These two systems each represent the cutting edge in display technology. to utilize the handheld remote from a Nintendo Wii. Since the Wiimote, as its called, uses an infrared camera to determine its position, the next step is to provide the remote an infrared reference pattern. That is where our group comes in. Using an optimized form of a Linear Faraday Generator, the mechanical energy of the waves is converted into electrical energy used to power onboard sensors. These buoys can currently operate for a month without maintenance, and do not require any outside power source. SIO is constantly looking for ways to improve the efficiency of energy conversion, and increase the resolution of data acquisition as well as the time spent in operation without maintenance. The purpose of this project is to miniaturize the current system, and examine the feasibility of using a series of smaller generators as an alternative to the single Large Energy generator. The new system should have at most a 1 cubic foot form factor, and constantly produce at least 30 mW of power continuously. Energy conversion efficiency must be taken into account, and the magnetic components must not interfere with onboard sensors. Project Description: ( Patent Pending) An estimate suggests that about 20% of printed materials are being discarded at once. In addition, a very large percent are also eventually thrown away without being substantially wrinkled or deformed. These printed papers are either thrown away as garbage, recycled, or shredded, and then trashed. Even recycling the paper utilizes lots of energy, time, and money. The environmental impact is incomprehensible, and every year is increased geometrically. Over-consumption and creating trash are two destructive factors of human being. It would be great, if we could erase the printings from the papers and re-use them. It saves paper, reduce trash, and eliminate the recycling cost and energy. It is a secure method to erase the confidential information on the paper. It is the ultimate right way and the one that makes you feel good about yourself and the environment. The objective of this project is finding a way to remove printed ink off paper in a way that the paper will be clean, dry, and reusable. This is done by building a device with input and output trays that has eraser and drying stations. High priority objectives include the method of ink removal, which may consist of mechanical, chemical, laser, and magnetic methods and the method of moving the paper inside the machine. Some secondary objectives include the treatment of the paper damage and the method of drying the paper.
