Sunday Worship

The Parish Sung Mass at 10.30am each Sunday is at the very heart of our community life. It is the main opportunity for our fellowship to gather and join in prayer and praise, learning from scripture, and being nourished by the sacraments.

Our congregation is very friendly and welcoming, and we use easy-to-follow service sheets to help those who are new feel instantly at home and at ease. We are a relaxed congregation - there are no difficult rules to learn - just come along and be yourself. Visitors are always very welcome. You can contact us for more information, but you don't have to tell us you're coming - just turn up - we'll be delighted to see you.

There is a weekly creche for very young children, and during school term time there are activities for older children in Junior Church. The service lasts a little over an hour, and includes singing led by a small Music Group, and a sermon. There are refreshments afterwards for all who are able to stay. We don't have any pews, but sit on comfortable upholstered seats.

Just a couple of times each year we hold a Family Service at 10.30am instead of the sung parish mass. This service is aimed at all ages, and allows for more participation by our children. The dates vary, but you can double check by contacting us, or by looking at the Church Calendar on the home page of this website. Even on days when there is a Family Service there will still be a parish mass, but you will need to consult our calendar to discover the time. Very occasionally we have no priest available on a Sunday - when that happens there will still be a service - usually Sung Morning Prayer.
