WALKS PROGRAMME FOR FEBRUARY-APRIL 2019

FEBRUARY

Friday 22nd February                                            Woburn Sands Woods

Meet at the Swan, Stewkley at 9.45am or at the Royal Oak, Church Road, Woburn Sands (post code MK17 8TA) at 10.30am. The pub doesn’t do food, but walkers may park in its car park (at the back) if buying a drink after the walk, and then can eat their own packed lunches in the pub.  If eating in a restaurant/café elsewhere please find alternative parking and meet at the Royal Oak.  There are public car parks in Chapel Street (post code MK17 8PG) and Russell Street (post code MK17 8NU) both fairly close to Church Street.  (Russell Street  appears to be bigger and longstay.)

The first part of the walk may be boggy, the second is hilly,  the third section quite sandy and the final part will contain some history.  Walk  approx. 2 to3 miles.  Well-behaved dogs on leads welcome.
