NOTES: A = the Olympic Games A Standard. The qualifying window for the 10,000m and Decathlon/Heptathlon is January 1, 2015 through the end of those events at the Trials. The qualifying wind for all other events is May 1, 2015 through the end of the Trials The top-3 finishers at the Olympic Trials who have the A standard will be named to the USA Team. There will be no chasing of A standards permitted after the Trials. Athletes who do not have the A standard heading into the Trials, must place in the top-3 in their event AND achieve the A standard during the Trials to make the USA Team. (See the list of Olympic A standards below.)

The qualifying window for all other events is May 1, 2015 through the end of the U.S. Olympic Trials. Wind-assisted performances are not accepted. Hand-timed marks for events below 800 meters are not accepted. Indoor performances in all field events, and for races of 200 meters and longer, will be accepted. Indoor performances achieved on over-sized tracks will not be accepted. Qualifying marks achieved in university or high school competitions must be certified by USATF. Performances achieved in mixed M/W competition will not be accepted, with the exception of the 5000m and 10,000m in circumstances where there were insufficient numbers of one or both genders to justify having separate races, and providing there was no pacing given by athletes of one gender to athletes of the other gender. |
