The goal of the green portable refrigerator is to be used by the military to transport blood to the front lines. The refrigerator will need to be lightweight, durable, and portable. The team will focus mainly on the structure, insulation, and cooling required by the refrigerator. A thermoelectric refrigeration device in order to maintain the blood at its critical temperature between 1 and 6 degrees Celsius. The use of a thin film solar panel will help power the refrigeration device.
• Test that the green power technology comprised of the fuel cells and the solar cell will be capable of maintaining a temperature range of 1 to 6 degrees Celsius for 6 hours
•Construct a prototype that is reliable and can perform consistently
•Achieve a temperature ranging between 1 and 6 degrees Celsius using a cooling load of 6W via conduction from the blood bag
